Nintendo has revealed a limited edition Nintendo Switch OLED that's planned to release before Super Mario Bros. Wonder on October 6, but it's one that's disappointingly simple.
It's been a while since we've heard anything new on Super Mario Bros. Wonder, but that's just changed thanks to Nintendo releasing a special Direct presentation that gave us a ton of new details on the game. Not only did we learn more details about the powerups, enemies, and the new badges mechanic, but we also got confirmation of the rumoured Nintendo Switch OLED that's planned to release before the game's launch.

Rumours of the limited edition Switch started popping up yesterday from trusted insider billbil-kun, who reported that it was planned for release before the game and that it wasn't going to be anything too intricate. That turned out to be exactly the case, as Nintendo confirmed and showed off the OLED towards the end of the Direct.
Despite Super Mario Bros. Wonder having a very distinct art style that's different from anything else we've seen in Mario games so far, the design of the Switch is incredibly basic and is basically just a red OLED. There are some unique design choices for it, such as the coins on the back and the slightly darker red Mario symbol in the bottom left, but it's still surprisingly basic.
