This week we have a great tip for the new Dreamsurge events to get the most out or World Quest gold as well as another deep dive into transmog sales. There is also a major update to the WorthIt addon, a must for solo farmers out there.

More Gold From Dreamsurge Magpies

With the new Dreamsurges introduced in 10.1.7 there is one particular buff that has gotten the attention of us gold makers ...

I haven't seen anyone post about this, so I thought I'd just give a quick heads up to those unaware: of the rotating (voted for) Dreamsurge buffs, there is one called Dreamsurge Magpies that increases gold from World Quests. The tooltip says +100% but whether working as intended or not, it actually triples WQ gold. I just ran through a few WQs in Azure Span and got 8k in less than ten minutes.

I now have an alt parked in the Dreamsurge zone so I can keep a closer eye on this, and blast through as many alts as I can in the half hour anytime I see this is up. It's a bit of a pain to find out what the upcoming buffs are from the map, so knowing the icon from the Wowhead link above is useful. This is also a great week to do this, as The World Awaits is live for WQ bonus week as well.

I know this won't appeal to all, but as a goblin who misses the days of raw gold from mission tables (Legion especially), this was a nice little discovery. Happy farming! :)

Edit: Meant to mention this in my original post. Dragonriding Purses do not get the bonus!

Tooltip says it gives 100% bonus, but it's actually calculating like this:

(Base Amount + (200% of Base Amount)) = Reward
