At first, New World soared to the top of the Steam Charts and broke records for the most-played game on the platform, but in the following months, Amazon's MMO has lost players at a pretty staggering rate. Some have pointed to the game's lack of updates for the reason behind player abandonment, so hopefully New World's Easter event update will bring a handful back to the game.
Starting on April 12 and lasting up until April 26, New World is hosting an Easter event named «Rabbit's Revenge.» Players will need to scour Aeternum for crazed, Corrupted Rabbits, which will drop a variety of helpful items when defeated, ranging from luck boosters to storage upgrades.

New World's Easter event may be a little more paired back than its 2021 Winter Convergence counterpart, but its addition is a welcome one. For seasoned players, this event is a nice change of pace, and for newcomers, this event is a great way to farm some useful luck items early on.
Finding Corrupted Rabbits across Aeternum should be an absolute breeze, as they're said to crop up in just about every location where an enemy can be found. However, once the player gets too close, the rabbits will scatter, so they'll need to use their compass effectively to track the little critters.
When a rabbit is successfully hunted down and killed, it has a chance to drop several key items. The most common item a rabbit can drop is a Rabbit's Foot, which increases the player's Luck stat by a specific amount, determined by their level. If the player is already at max level, then a Rabbit's Foot consumable increases their Luck by 5%.
