That's exactly what user SoapySam did recently, when they completedMetal Gear Solid in a record-breaking time of 36:23. The video was uploaded to Speedrun.com and has been placed in the number one spot. The most impressive thing about this run is that SoapySam was able to accomplish it while playing the game on Extreme, the highest difficulty setting. The game was completed under the «Any%» category, which means the player can get to the end by using exploits, bugs, and other methods that aren't considered cheating in order to shave off precious seconds.

Upon completing the speedrun, SoapySam can be heard giving an elated «Yes!» as the final time is shown onscreen. As one of the best espionage video game series out there, the Metal Gear Solid entries often encourage players to be methodical and careful, take time to scope out areas, and stealthily move through maps undetected.
