Seven Mortal Sins X-TASY, the hotly anticipated gacha-RPG from USERJOY Technology, has landed on Android and iOS following a short pre-registration campaign.
A spin-off of the popular Demon Worship Project series of manga comics and anime shows, Seven Mortal Sins X-TASY is set in the same fantasy universe as its source material, and boasts the same cast of professional voice actors, but it takes the franchise in a new direction with a whole new storyline.
The protagonist is Lucifer, the fallen angel. He encounters a normal school girl called Maria on Earth, whereupon he unwisely defies the will of God and finds himself in the bowels of hell.
Taking a shine to her human acquaintance, Lucifer performs a quick blood transfusion and steals Maria’s heart. This procedure has the effect of binding the two souls together for eternity, and in unison they set off to escape from hell.
This means defeating the Seven Mortal Sins, each one representing a different cardinal sin from Christian tradition. In case you need a reminder, those are: lust, greed, sloth, pride, gluttony, envy, and wrath.
To make matters worse, Belial, Lord of Vainglory, has joined forces with The Third Faction and kidnapped Maria, giving you yet another reason to bring the pain.
Fortunately, Seven Mortal Sins X-TASY isn’t as dark as it sounds. While you’ll need to battle through hell and defeat the personification of wrath, USERJOY Technology also promises plenty of pranks and some glorious nonsense.
You can tell just from looking at the screenshots that Seven Mortal Sins X-TASY has some serious manga heritage. The character art, costume design, skill effects, and animations are superb to behold, and the writing is top notch too.
