A new partnership is bringing Shadowman and other Valiant heroes to the medium of novels. The company announced a deal with independent publishing company Blackstone Publishing to create a series of adult novels starring some of their notable characters. The move aims to give Valiant fans more stories starring its unique heroes, as well as introduce them to a brand-new audience.
Founded by Steven Massarsky and former Marvel Comics editor-in-chief, Jim Shooter, Valiant first hit the comic book scene in 1989. After acquiring licensed properties such as Magnus, Robot Fighter and Solar, Man of the Atom, Valiant created an interconnected superhero universe from the ground up. Within a few years, the new publisher had skyrocketed in popularity with its own original titles like Eternal Warrior and Harbinger. Though Valiant Comics would declare bankruptcy shortly after being bought by Acclaim Entertainment, their characters returned in 2012 under a new branding, Valiant Entertainment.

Now, ten years after its return, Valiant is attempting to introduce more readers to its vast library of characters. The company announced a partnership with independent publisher Blackstone Publishing and that a line of novels starring some of their most popular characters was on the way. Valiant specifically named the characters Shadowman, Eternal Warrior and Livewire, though they did say books with other heroes would also be coming. Valiant says the books will perfect for any reader and offer fans "more stories featuring the characters they love while also introducing these timeless heroes and villains to new readers everywhere."
