Rick and Morty's new voices have been revealed, and they sound exactly the same as when they were voiced by Justin Roiland. This comes after the show's star and co-creator left the show following abuse allegations, including but not limited to charges of domestic battery and false imprisonment which were later dropped.
We still don't know the names of the actors taking up the roles of Rick and Morty, but their performance falls in line with previous reports that they would be imitating Roiland's voice, rather than using their own. This is a different strategy from another show that Roiland had to be replaced in, Solar Opposites, which created an in-universe explanation for the voice change.

The long-awaited voice reveal comes as part of a new trailer for the seventh season. The response from fans is positive so far, pleasantly surprised by the quality of the new voice acting, even if we don't know who got the roles just yet.
Roiland's departure from the show came not only after details of his arrest and criminal charges were made public, but also following further allegations of inappropriate behaviour towards his fans. One fan in particular says they were 15 when Roiland began to speak with them, sometimes turning the conversation sexual. Journalists commented that these allegations had been known for some time, with some in the media actively investigating them before news of his arrest was made public.
