Update: Square Enix has confirmed on social media that this PS5 firmware update is primarily to address the recent issues with Final Fantasy 16:

Original Story: Sony has just rolled out a new system software update for PS5, and it's available to download and install now. Coming in at roughly 1.3 GB, version 24.06-10.01.00 has arrived, but what does it bring to the console? Well, unlike the last update, this is a minor firmware patch, with no new features this time. And there you have it. We're back to the old faithful stability updates on this occasion, likely fixing some bugs in the previous firmware update. It's not known if this addresses the strange issues some are having with certain games, such as Final Fantasy 16, but we'll update this story if we hear anything.
