Amazon has released new images for two characters who will be appearing in the upcoming The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power TV show. The LOTR show is slated to hit the streaming service on September 2.
Bronwyn, who does not appear in the canonical works of author J.R.R. Tolkien, is seen in one of the pictures here looking out at a river--which doesn’t tell us a whole lot about her character, other than she enjoys looking at water. Meanwhile, in the other photo, Theo holds what appears to be a broken sword or staff. Check out the new photos below, and you can get another hit of Rings of Power content by revisiting the previously released teaser trailer.

To say anticipation is high for the upcoming series is a bit of an understatement. In the first 24 hours of the show’s first trailer being released during the Super Bowl, the newly released clip amassed 257 million views--which Amazon said is the biggest number for any trailer that debuted during the Super Bowl. Amazon marketing boss Ukonwa Ojo said the response to Rings of Power «has been immense.»
Rings of Power is not the only Lord of the Rings project currently in the works, as a new animated film, The War of the Rohirrim, releases in 2024.
Earlier this year, Vanity Fair interviewed many of the key creatives involved with Rings of Power, who discussed how the show will deviate greatly from the novels it’s based upon.
