A new patch for Final Fantasy 16 will be dropping this week, but try not to get too excited when the notification pops up on your PS5. Indeed, this seems to be a very minor update, with the game's official Japanese website mentioning adjustments to how Arcade Mode evaluates your combat performance — and that's pretty much it. A new leaderboard will be put in place as well.
While the site does promise additional details once the patch is available — it's dropping on Sunday, apparently — we wouldn't expect it to be hiding any other noteworthy improvements.

Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
Shame they can't improve performance.
I think I'm done after back to back playthroughs. Great game.
This game is so good, shame the performance in frame rate mode isn't up to snuff. It would be nice to have it fixed but I can manage.
The combat system is so good, seems like arcade mode could be expanded on beyond a leaderboard. Excellent game regardless though.
Played through twice and absolutely loved it. Second time I enjoyed it even more because I took the time to check out the Active Time Lore a lot more. Such a good game.
I don't think I've experienced one bug or glitch. Graphics mode has been solid.
Very rare for a game these days
