Disney+ releases a first look at four of the new characters from the upcoming National Treasure TV show. Nicolas Cage famously headlined the highly-successful National Treasure movie franchise, which released its first installment in 2004 and its second (and so far last) in 2007.
It’s a fair question whether the National Treasure brand can actually go on without the presence of Cage as its central treasure-hunter/solver of historical mysteries. But Disney will give it a shot anyway with a new streaming series set to run on Disney+. Cage may not be part of the new National Treasure, but Catherine Zeta-Jones is, as are some more new young cast members who were recently revealed.

Now Disney+ has given National Treasure fans their first look at four of the streaming show’s new characters. In the picture, the quartet of treasure seekers appears to have gotten themselves into some big trouble during their course of their activities. See the image in the space below:
From left to right the new image includes Jordan Rodrigues as Ethan, Lisette Alexis as lead character Jess Morales, Zuri Reed as Tasha and Antonio Cipriano as Oren. According to character descriptions and plot details that have made their way to the internet, Jess works for the FBI where she makes use of her puzzle-solving skills in the Cryptoanalysis Division. A dying FBI agent entrusts Jess with the key to a secret treasure that sends her off on an adventure along with her friends. Zeta-Jones’ character Billie meanwhile appears to be the show’s main antagonist as she’s described as a ruthless crypto-currency billionaire who’s willing to do anything to get what she wants.
