Early reviews for Disney+'s new MCU series, Ms. Marvel, have started to arrive. Since the launch of the Disney+ service, the MCU has continued to expand as Marvel Studios rolls out new original series tied to its ever-growing franchise. Over the last two years, the MCU has been able to elevate established characters like Loki, Wanda/Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Winter Soldier, following the conclusion of the Infinity Saga. In addition to that, the platform is also serving as a vehicle for new heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe, including Moon Knight, Kate Bishop, and many more.
For the MCU's next original series, Kamala Khan will be making her live-action debut in Ms. Marvel, with Iman Vellani as the titular heroine. The six-episode series will follow the teenage hero as Kamala discovers that she has powers of her own, after being a Captain Marvel super-fan for many years. Ms. Marvel, which comes from executive producer and head writer Bisha K. Ali, will also set up Kamala's larger role within the MCU beyond her own show. Vellani is set to reprise her role as Ms. Marvel in The Marvels, alongside Brie Larson's Carol Danvers and Teyonah Parris' Monica Rambeau.
