Mortal Online 2 has added its huge Territory Control and siege update. The major update adds a number of new mechanics and features to the game, and will offer new opportunities to create and engage with others–and maybe sack their strongholds.
Star Vault has been holding a number of playtests to ensure that the update was ready to go and stable, and now it is finally here. They’re not holding back, describing the update as “a monumental shift in the world of Mortal Online 2 ”. If you've been paying attention to details of the update, you and others will be vying for control of Myrland You'll do so by building new structures, reinforcing them, preparing todefend and engage in sieges, and much more.
In the context of the update, “territory” is space that you can build on and place NPCs. That’s the simplest, but you can start with player houses and join up with guildmates to set up houses on adjoining plots, to expand the territory controlled by your guild. As you upgrade your houses and strongholds, the territory you control will be expanded.
Create a Keep and that will also claim the surrounding land. Upgrade your keeps, meeting goals for expansion, and pay Prominence (which you earn based on guild power and influence realmwide) to expand even further. Guilds will play a special role going forward. They can now earn tiers, and you can do so by capturing and holding supply towers and paying prominence. If you meet increasing guild tier requirements, you can expand your territory even further.
In essence, this is an intricate update packed with new features. Also included are 20 new elementalism spells, in two new groups, Emanation and Arrangement. The update brings a whole slew of new options for competing, as well
