More former Xbox exclusives could be coming to PS5 during this holiday season, according to a well-known insider.
Speaking on the ResetEra forums in a thread about a new WindowsCentral Xbox article, noted insider NateDrake has said that he's heard that, aside from Starfield, more Xbox games might be headed to Sony's console later this year. Yesterday, the insider mentioned that Starfield might end up hitting PS5 as a complete edition sometime in late 2025. Later on, 'NateDrake' said that, between possibly Starfield in 2025, there could be other games coming to PS5. "Who said there wouldn't be anything between the 4 from earlier this year and that?", the insider wrote yesterday.
Earlier today, he clarified his post from yesterday, saying that he was only referring to Bethesda's hit title, but he's heard of other games coming to Sony's console, although he isn't entirely sure about which titles and when they will be released. "Yes. Was strictly talking about Starfield there", 'NateDrake' wrote today. "I've heard of other games coming to PS5 & they could be during holiday season this year -- but working to confirm the games & the release windows."
While this doesn't confirm that additional Xbox exclusives are coming to PS5, recent rumors and reports suggest that this is likely the case. Last month, The Verge's Tom Warren said that the Sea of Thieves PS5 version was a key test for Microsoft for whether other games will make their way to rival platforms. Additionally, earlier this month, Warren said that Microsoft is still evaluating whether Ninja Theory's upcoming Hellblade 2 will be ported to Sony's console as well. Interestingly enough, back February of this year, Warren also suggested that Microsoft has been considering to bring other popular Xbox flagship franchises to rival platforms, including Gears of War and DOOM.
