Moon Knight Episode 5 Poses 6 Questions Before Its Ending

In the penultimate installment, Moon Knight episode 5poses six questions that need to be answered. Centered entirely in the Egyptian afterlife, Marc and Steven (Oscar Isaac) must confront each other's secrets in order to balance their hearts with the Feather of Truth. In the meantime, Taweret (Antonia Salib) guides them through the afterlife. Moon Knight episode 5, in particular, shows how unique of an MCU property it is, considering how introspective it goes into Marc Spector's character without any intention of significantly connecting with any other MCU characters or projects in the process.
Moon Knight episode 5 reveals dark secrets about Marc's past that he desperately wants to keep hidden from Steven, regardless of the fact that it could lead to the scales being balanced. The episode also includes a scene showing Moon Knight's changed origin when Khonshu (F. Murray Abraham) turns Marc into his avatar. Once it's discovered that Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke) has released Ammit and enacted her bidding as souls fall into Duat, the Egyptian underworld, before their time, Taweret begins to help Marc and Steven pass through to the upper world.

This episode could easily have moved forward by bringing Marc and Steven back to life to eventually free Khonshu and stop Harrow. However, Moon Knight episode 5 opted to remain both retrospective and introspective while cleverly building up the stakes in the upper world. In doing so, more is revealed about Marc and his deeper connection to Steven. Still, there are a few questions set up in Moon Knight episode 5 that need to be resolved in Moon Knight's finale.
