Announced back in May, the Monument Valley Panoramic Collection is now available on Steam, bringing the series to PC for the very first time.
Buying either Monument Valley: Panoramic Edition(Opens in a new window) or Monument Valley 2: Panoramic Edition(Opens in a new window) includes all the DLC released for either game. The Forgotten Shores and Ida's Dream DLC packs provide all additional content for Monument Valley, while The Lost Forest DLC pack provides the same for Monument Valley 2.
Both games first appeared for iOS back in 2014 and 2017 respectively, meaning they were designed for the tall and thin aspect ratio of a smartphone. Deciding to release the games for PC meant embracing widescreen and reworking the experience for laptop displays, monitors, and TVs. The end result goes above and beyond standard widescreen support, though.
"Players are able to experience a new level of immersion with the Monument Valley: Panoramic Collection, thanks to gorgeous full-screen panoramic artwork that looks absolutely stunning on full HD, TV, ultrawide 21:9 displays. We hope that audiences of all ages will enjoy the illusionary puzzles and dazzling environments that every chapter has to offer!" said Ustwo Games game director Jennifer Estaris.
Both Panoramic Editions cost $7.99 each, but if you buy them together as the Monument Valley 1 & 2: Panoramic Collection(Opens in a new window), a 15% discount is applied, which reduces the price down to $13.58. Most Steam users don't need to worry about their PC being good enough to play these games as the minimum spec if very forgiving and even lists Windows 7 as an option.
