Capcom has confirmed a June 30, 2022 release date for Monster Hunter Rise’s Sunbreak expansion.
The news was announced during a digital event (watch below) focused on the expansion, which will require the base game to play.
Pre-orders for the paid DLC, which was previously confirmed to be in line for a summer release, will start on March 15.

Capcom said it will include new stories, locales and monsters, as well as newly added hunting actions and a new quest rank called Master Rank.
It also confirmed plans to release three new Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Amiibo for Switch.
Monster Hunter Rise released for Nintendo Switch in March 2021 and for PC in January 2022.
A free Monster Hunter Rise trial is currently available for Switch Online members until March 17.
