Monster Hunter Rise brings players to Kamura Village, where a calamity called the Rampage threatens the lives of everyone in it. As a fledgling hunter in this village, you need to learn more about the various hunting areas, and a way to do it is by collecting the many Relic Records with information about them.

The Sandy plains is a dry desert that makes its return from Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and adapted to the current generation in the series. With labyrinthic tunnels, caves, and ruins, here you can find powerful foes like Almudron, Barroth, and Diablos.
The first Relic can be found in the lowest left corner of the map, you just need to climb the mount and go as far as you can and the sword will be resting at the edge of the map.
Go to the lowest level, and when you reach the fish pond, turn right. You will see the Relic Record waiting for you nearby.
To obtain this Record, you must climb up a ledge and you will find the sword stuck in some sand.
This Relic Record will be resting under a flower bed. You must hit it with your weapon, and it will disappear, showing the sword underneath.
You must descend to this stone bridge and cross it, and at the end of it you will see the Relic Record stuck in a stone.
From the Sub Camp, get out and descend through the huge circular hole that leads underground. Be careful to land in the platform with the tree, and look to the left. Use your wirebug to reach that opening, and the sword will be there.
Go to this Subcamp and climb up the ruins. Turn around the central column and the sword will be waiting for you!
From where the Jaggi and Jaggia usually rest, go south and you should see a small opening before you leave
