While going on quests and fighting monsters is essential for farming important items, there are other ways to acquire items, and one of those ways is to take advantage of the Meowcenaries.

This is where the Meowcenaries come into play, as it's the only way for hunters to get their hands on Sinister Gloomcloth. Here's how to get it.

To put it right out there, players will need to use the Meowcenaries to find Sinister Gloomcloth by sending them to Master Rank Sandy Plains, but only if there is a sparkling Bones icon on the path.

Players can use the Meowcenaries by speaking to Nagi, the Buddy Agent. He's to the left of the Courier in Elgado and is next to the Buddy Board. Choose Meowcenaries, and then go ahead and set up the destination for the pets. They will go out searching for items and materials and return after players complete a few quests.

Make sure to use a Lagniapple before sending out the Buddies on a quest. This will help them find even more items on their travels.

Check the destination list, and players will see the Master Rank locations. If players look closely, they'll see that some paths are sparkling; this means that the buddies will find rare items, such as the Sinister Gloomcloth.
