Homelander & Maeve Foreshadowed The Boys S3’s Big Soldier Boy Twist

The Boys shockingly exposes Soldier Boy as Homelander's biological father — but this twist has been foreshadowed ever since yesteryear's Vought superstar returned from his 40-year Russian vacation. Previously in The Boys season 3, Billy Butcher dragged his team to Moscow hunting for a weapon capable of killing Homelander. Instead, they found a Soldier Boy, and the two sides quickly struck a deal — Butcher helps Soldier Boy get payback on Payback; Soldier Boy helps Butcher land Homelander. The trio enjoyed a fruity scrap at Herogasm but couldn't determine a clear winner. The Boys season 3, episode 7 finds Karl Urban and Jensen Ackles gearing up for a second bite of Homelander's cherry.
Then The Boys throws an almighty paternal spanner in the works. Since clashing fists upon a backdrop of naked bodies at Herogasm, Soldier Boy has discovered Homelander is his son. Vought's Jonah Vogelbaum gave his company's top supe a Penthouse, received a salty deposit in return, and Homelander was conceived from there. By the time The Boys' credits roll, it's not clear whether Soldier Boy hates his son for usurping him, or wants to meet in a local park and toss a baseball. Whatever comes next, The Boys' father-son revelation is a rug-pull few would've seen coming. Strangely, however, Homelander and Soldier Boy's connection was foreshadowed even before season 3's Herogasm event...
