One particular moment in The Boys season 3 episode 7 makes Solider Boy a perfect parody of another MCU character. From the very beginning, The Boys has always offered the darkest possible reflection of other popular superhero franchises. Homelander is essentially a sociopathic version of Superman, and a great many of its other notable heroes are parodies of well-known figures from both Marvel and DC comics.
One such parody is Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles), introduced in season 3 as an obvious take on the MCU's Captain America. Many aspects of Soldier Boy's design are obvious riffs on Chris Evans' Captain America in the MCU — the eagle motif on his suit, his use of a shield, and even the way he ditches his mask and favors a beard are all aesthetically reminiscent of the iconic Marvel hero. Soldier Boy's powers in The Boys season 3 are also similar to Captain America's, with the addition of him being able to shoot blasts of radiation from his chest. Captain America is not the only MCU character that Soldier Boy parodies, however: The Boys season 3 episode 7 sees him execute his former teammate Mindstorm in a manner familiar to Marvel audiences.

After catching up with Mindstorm, Soldier Boy masks his face with a bag before bludgeoning him to death with the underside of his shield. The moment is an obvious nod to an almost identical moment in MCU series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, in which John Walker murders a Flag-Smasher with Captain America's shield.
