Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo reveal what their ideal plan is for MCU Phase 5. The filmmaking duo was tasked to culminate the franchise's first three phases after entering it in 2014 via Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Now that the Russos have exited the MCU, they enjoy Phase 4 like the rest of the public.
Ever since wrapping up the Infinity Saga in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, the Russos have pursued other endeavors outside of the MCU through their own movie company, AGBO Films. They have directed, written, and produced a series of projects including Extraction, Cherry, and Everything Everywhere All at Once. Their latest project, Netflix's The Gray Man, reunites them with Steve Rogers actor Chris Evans. Despite keeping themselves busy regarding their own projects, the Russos are keeping a close eye on the MCU now that it's in its rebuilding period. While they're currently not attached to any future Marvel Studios project, they are sharing their two cents as to what they want to see in the universe moving forward.

Speaking with Variety on the red carpet of The Gray Man, the Russos share what they want to see in MCU Phase 5. The filmmakers say that they want Marvel Studios to be bolder in their creative choices, especially after the events of the Infinity Saga. See their full answer below:
