Warning! Spoilers ahead for Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #2
In the latest issue of Marvel Comics' Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, Steve Rogers just brought a now-iconic meme from Avengers: Endgame into the comics canon. During his investigation into the secret legacy and history of his shield, Rogers has sought the help of friends both young and old. At one point, Captain America speaks a line said by the MCU's First Avenger at the very end of the film (though the context here is even funnier).
As seen in previous issues of Sentinel of Liberty from Jackson Lanzing, Collin Kelly, Carmen Carnero, Nolan Woodard, and VC's Joe Caramagna, it's revealed that Steve Rogers still has friends his actual age whom he served with in WWII. Together, they've helped him decipher coded messages on the radio which have revealed a shadow organization using the iconography of his shield as a gameboard to move pawns across the globe. As such, the dark notion that the shield's symbol truly belongs to this mysterious group rather than Rogers himself is very concerning for Marvel's Super-Soldier.

Naturally, Steve is very motivated to discover the true origins of his shield and uncover its full legacy in the new Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty #2. To that end, it's revealed that Rogers also has younger friends who resemble the age Steve actually looks. One such friend (named David) helps run the largest digital archival database in the world, meaning that he's able to quickly look up and see who the original designer of Captain America's shield was.
