Monster Hunter Now is celebrating the end of the year with «A Happy Hunting New Year» event. This festivity brings back some familiar monstrous faces while also offering increased monster appearance rates, ensuring that hunters worldwide will have plenty to do ahead of 2024.

Monster Hunter Now by Niantic and Capcom has done pretty well in 2023 with over 5 million downloads on Mobile, after their global launch back in September. With 2023 closing out soon, Niantic will mark their first end of the year event with the return of two formidable creatures: the Pink Rathian and the Black Diablos. From December 23 to December 31, 2023, players can find the Pink Rathian roaming in forest habitats. The Black Diablos, however, will make its appearance in desert habitats from January 1 to January 8, 2024. These encounters are open to all hunters with a minimum Hunter Rank (HR) of 11 and above.

Zinogre's appearance rates in Hunt-a-thons have also been significantly increased, with the boost in spawn rates starting from December 23, 2023, and ending at the close of the New Year event January 8, 2024. Hunters will have way more opportunities to encounter this electrifying beast that drops 5 star materials used to craft numerous weapons and armor pieces.

The event also promises more frequent sightings of various monsters every day between 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. local time during the event period, making the hunting grounds more vibrant and challenging. In addition to all of the new monsters, there will be “Time-limited packs” offering a smattering of potions, paintballs, currency and more, if you’re into spending a little cash to get ahead.
