The first proper Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer gameplay has leaked ahead of an official reveal later on Thursday.
It appears that some users have been able to access the content included in the game’s upcoming beta after it was made available to pre-download.
The video below includes footage of several of the remastered Modern Warfare 2 maps set to be available in the beta such as Rust, Favela and Highrise.

Activision plans to fully reveal Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer offering at today’s Call of Duty Next showcase, which kicks off at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST.
The first of two Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer beta weekends will start tomorrow, and it will be available exclusively on PS4 and PS5.
The game will feature updated versions of all 16 launch maps from 2009’s Modern Warfare 2. Five of these (Favela, Skidrow, Rust, Estate and Highrise) will be included in the beta, along with new Ground War experiences.
The game’s second beta weekend will support cross-play on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
The Call of Duty Next live stream will also showcase Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies mode, the new Call of Duty Warzone map and Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
Set for release on November 10, 2023, Modern Warfare 3 is a direct sequel to last year’s Modern Warfare 2. Development is being led by Sledgehammer, in collaboration with Infinity Ward, while Treyarch is in charge of its Zombies mode.
In an interview published this week, Activision president Rob Kostich said the company has Call of Duty games planned out through 2027, and that 3,000 developers are currently working on the franchise.
