New Mission: Impossible 8 images reveal Nick Offerman's casting for the Tom Cruise sequel, along with Janet McTeer's. The Mission: Impossible franchise is barreling towards its likely conclusion, as Paramount announced two more movies from writer/director Christopher McQuarrie after Mission: Impossible — Fallout's success. The upcoming sequels will once again see Tom Cruise star as Ethan Hunt, while Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Vanessa Kirby are a few of the familiar faces returning to the franchise.
Story details about Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One are still mostly unknown, but it is confirmed to set up the eighth entry in the franchise. Esai Morales is playing a mysterious villain, while Hayley Atwell has joined the franchise in a new role. Some of the other new additions in Mission: Impossible 7 & 8's cast include Pom Klementieff, Cary Elwes, Charles Parnell, Shea Whigham, Rob Delaney, and Indira Varma. Most of these performers were featured in the first Mission: Impossible 7 trailer. However, it seems a few other cast members were kept under wraps.

The first image confirms that former Parks and Recreation star Offerman has joined the franchise. He appears to be a military character named Sydney, as he is pictured with Kittridge (Henry Czerny) and Holt McCallany's Secretary of Defense Bernstein. The second Mission: Impossible 8 image confirms Jessica Jones and Ozark star McTeer has also joined the cast.
