Nick Offerman shares new details about his Mission: Impossible 8 character. Tom Cruise began his journey as secret agent Ethan Hunt way back in 1996. Over two decades later, the star is still taking on impossible missions, usually involving him performing stunts other actors would never dream of doing.
Indeed the Cruise-led Mission: Impossible series reached new heights – in more ways than one – with 2018’s Mission: Impossible – Fallout. Not content to follow up that movie’s blockbuster success with just one project, Cruise and writer-director Christopher McQuarrie are now set to unleash a pair of new Mission: Impossible movies going under the titles Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two. Aiding Cruise in pulling off the second of the two sequels is Offerman, who joins the action-heavy franchise after bringing to life the iconic character Ron Swanson in the classic sitcom Parks and Rec.

Details about Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One and Part Two are naturally being kept under wraps – outside of the odd tease about the level of insanity Cruise is set to achieve with his stunts. But Offerman did willingly offer up a few tidbits about his own character in a recent epic episode of the long-running Mission: Impossible podcast Light the Fuse (which also featured Cruise himself).
