A mystery character from Mission: Impossible — Fallout is returning in Mission: Impossible 8. The Mission: Impossible franchise has grown in leaps and bounds in recent years thanks to the continued collaboration between star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie. After first working together in the series with McQuarrie helping on the fourth movie's script, he then made the jump to direct the last two films. Cruise and McQuarrie are now working hard on reportedly ending Ethan Hunt's story in Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part One for 2023 and Mission: Impossible — Dead Reckoning Part Two for 2024.
Along with the overall quality of the movies and a desire to continue making breathtaking stunts possible, one of the keys to the Mission: Impossible franchise's resurgence has been connecting all of the movies together. That is one of the many reasons why audiences are curious to see what McQuarrie delivers after Mission: Impossible — Fallout. The upcoming seventh installment includes plenty of new characters, but it also brings back Ilsa Faust, the White Widow, and Ethan Hunt's usual helpful IMF team. Additionally, Christopher McQuarrie found a major role for Kittridge in Mission: Impossible 7, who was last in 1996's Mission: Impossible.
