Matt Cardona, who formally wrestled in WWE as Zack Ryder, knows a thing or two about awesome mid-card programs and is apparently a fan of the ongoing Elias/Ezekiel angle. This has been one of Monday Night Raw's more central feuds, as Kevin Owens tries to force Ezekiel to admit that he's the same person as Elias.
On paper, it doesn't sound like something that should work. And it probably shouldn't, but Owens and Ezekiel are 100 percent into it and having fun, so it's tough for fans not to go along for the ride as well. On the June 20 edition of Raw, Elias returned to remind audiences that WWE stands for Walk With Elias, and to also appear on screen with his «brother» Ezekiel for the first time ever. This insensed Owens and the production crew did a fantastic job of making this all work through some camera trickery and, presumably, a green screen or two.

Sometimes live audiences can tune out comedy bits, but the crowd in Pinnacle Bank Arena could be heard audibly laughing throughout the segment. They apparently weren't alone, as Cardona, from his @TheMattCardona handle, quote tweeted WWE's video of Elias and Ezekiel meeting backstage, writing the following about the bit: "This is one of the greatest things going on in pro wrestling."
It's always interesting to see what performers on the independent scene think about the ongoing WWE product. Someone like Cardona could be bitter about his time with the company, but instead, is choosing to enjoy Raw for what it is. The stuff with Ezekiel, Elias, and Owens seems to get better by the week, somehow, and now it is being teased that the two have another brother named Elrod. On the June 27 episode of Monday
