Dolph Lundgren reflects on his time playing He-Man in Masters of The Universe and reveals the biggest flaw in his superhero costume. The Swedish muscle-man was the breakout star of Rocky IV in 1985, bursting onto the scene as the hulking Soviet icon Ivan Drago, and Lundgren was soon one of the most recognizable action stars of the 1980s. He followed up the boxing flick by bringing the iconic He-Man to life in the 1987 film Masters of the Universe.
Loosely based on the cartoons and action figures that were hugely popular at the time, the film saw Lundgren star alongside a young Courteney Cox as he faced off against the infamous Skeletor (played by Frank Langella). The surrounding franchise remains popular to this day, with the Netflix animated revival and re-imagination becoming major talking points.
