Dolph Lundgren, best known as the deadly Soviet boxer Ivan Drago from Rocky IV, is addressing the incident on set that sent Sylvester Stallone to the ICU, joking there may have been a different reason for his hospital stay. In the film, the two actors were pitted against each other in an international high-stakes boxing match set at the height of the Cold War. The film was released in the mid-1980s, but its storyline left such an impact that it paved the way for the current Creed spinoff series.
Rocky IV arguably hosts some of the most memorable matches Stallone's character encounters. Drago's taunts lead Rocky's friend, Apollo Creed, to accept the challenge against The Siberian Bull. Sadly, this would be Apollo's final bout. The Soviet's merciless performance and a crushing blow to the head result in Apollo's untimely death and ultimately prompts Rocky to fight Drago as well. True to the Rocky cinematic formula, the drastically undersized boxer takes a severe beating before claiming an unlikely victory.

The actors actually landed multiple blows while filming the fight, one of which resulted in a trip to the emergency room. Stallone spent nine days in the hospital recovering from trauma to his heart after a punch to his chest. Lundgren has blamed Stallone's fatigue in the past but it seems he is now accepting a bit of the blame, but not without throwing some shade. The actor recently recalled the incident in a Men's Health video clip. Read below for Lundgren's recollection of the news and his theory behind it.
