The Bob's Burgers Movie co-writer/co-director Loren Bouchard teases some major cameos and jokes the film could hurt some of their careers. Bouchard created the Fox animated sitcom revolving around the titular restaurant owner and hamburger cook Bob Belcher and his wife and three kids as they struggle to run their restaurant in an unnamed Northeastern shore town. Bouchard developed Bob's Burgers with King of the Hill alum Jim Dauterieve after the cancellation of his short-lived adult animated comedy Home Movies, which has since developed a cult following and is credited with helping launch the former's career.
H. Jon Benjamin leads the cast of both the show and The Bob's Burgers Movie alongside Dan Mintz as Tina, Eugene Mirman as Gene, John Roberts as Linda, Kristen Schaal as Louise and Larry Murphy as Teddy. The film sees the Belcher's summer plans ruined when a ruptured water main creates a major sinkhole right in front of the building, requiring Bob and Linda to come up with a plan to keep the business afloat while Tina, Gene and Louise investigate a mystery that could save their restaurant. Following nearly five years of development and delays from the ongoing COVID pandemic, The Bob's Burgers Movie is gearing up to hit theaters this summer and the creators have some exciting things in store for fans of the series.
