20th Century Studios has released a new official trailer for The Bob's Burgers Movie. The long-delayed film is scheduled to be released theatrically on May 27 for Memorial Day weekend.
Just like the first trailer released back in January, this one doesn't reveal much about the movie's plot--not that it matters because more Bob's Burgers is enough to merit a ticket. Literally the first 30 seconds of this trailer is Bob Belcher despondently moaning at the dinner table, deeply upset about… something. The robot we saw last time is back, as is the massive sinkhole that has opened up in front of the restaurant making it impossible for customers to get inside. Based on what little information is here, it seems the movie is about the Belchers rallying to pay a massive bill to get the sinkhole fixed? Check out the trailer below.
The Bob's Burgers Movie has been delayed almost two full years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film was first announced back in 2017, and show creator Loren Bouchard told Looper that the film will «scratch every itch the fans of the show ever had» while also appealing to new audiences.
The film is co-written and co-directed by Bouchard, with Nora Smith collaborating on the writing and Bernard Derriman collaborating on the directing. Both Smith and Derriman have worked on Bob's Burgers since the show's early days.
