The first trailer for the Kids in the Hall reboot series has arrived, providing a look at the cult sketch comedy’s returning stars. It’s been 27 years since the cast of The Kids in the Hall were last seen together. Comedians Dave Foley, Mark McKinney, Scott Thompson, Bruce McCulloch, and Kevin McDonald first began bringing their irreverent brand of sketch comedy to viewers in 1988, gradually building a devoted fanbase that saw the series land Emmy nominations before the show came to an end in 1995.
Throughout its initial run, The Kids in the Hall was produced by SNL creator Lorne Michaels, whose support undoubtedly helped give the series more widespread attention. The cast was an incredibly unique one, adept at delivering comedic sketches that were very much ahead of their time. Additionally, The Kids in the Hall wasn’t afraid to take its comedy to surreal places, creating genuinely bizarre recurring characters such as the Chicken Lady and Mr. Tyzik – aka the crushing your head guy.

That’s now set to change, as Amazon Prime will be bringing viewers a new eight-episode revival of The Kids in the Hall starting May 13.
