Remember back in the good old days, when one of the biggest Mass Effect controversies was Tali's face reveal? Well, alright, that was kind of overshadowed by everything else going on in Mass Effect 3, but it was still pretty high up on the agenda. Now, we're probably going to have to wait years for another game. How times change. But that doesn't mean the fans are going anywhere.
All these years later, one fan has taken it upon themselves to fix the Tali-face issue by creating their own - and even making it visible during normal gameplay and cutscenes. This new face looks much more alien than what we got in the original Mass Effect 3, giving the quarians the unique features they deserved all along. Better yet, it implements these features into other quarian NPCs, so you can get a decent look at what's going on under the helmets.

As you can see on its Nexus Mods page, the Children of Rannoch project adds a quarian face that's stunningly detailed, and like nothing else in the Mass Effect universe. No longer just a bunch of purple humans, Tali and her people have distinct facial features and markings. We can also see how they hook up to their suits through their noses, protecting them from outside bacteria that could prove deadly to their weaker immune systems.
Right now, the mod is only available in the Legendary Edition of the first Mass Effect, but creator Mithran56 has plans to bring it to the other two titles in the trilogy.
