Marvel's Spider-Man's Vulture Should Sound Familiar To Raimi Fans
The Vulture appears in Marvel's Spider-Man as a member of the game's Sinister Six, and fans of the 2002 Spider-Man movie tie-in game will find him very familiar. Insomniac's open-world superhero adventure launched in 2018, and fans were immediately drawn to its authentic adaptation of the web-slinging hero and his world. The game draws heavily from past Spider-Man video games, including the beloved tie-ins to the Sam Raimi films Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2. Marvel's Spider-Man features multiple villains, but Vulture stands out as a particularly nostalgic inclusion.
The 2002 Spider-Man game loosely follows the plot of the classic film, which sees Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker transform into the titular wall-crawling hero and face off with Willem Dafoe's Green Goblin. However, the video game adaptation of the movie expands this story to include other rogues like Shocker, Scorpion, and Vulture. After robbing a jewelry store with Shocker, the high-flying Vulture escapes to a clocktower rigged with explosive traps and challenges players to reach the top. The encounter ends in a memorable mid-air brawl around the Chrysler Building, after which Vulture is defeated and left for the police.

While Insomniac made Doc Ock the primary villain in Marvel's Spider-Man, the open-world title also features other villains like Mr. Negative, Rhino, and Vulture.
