While Sony said Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered would be available as a standalone product «later this month», it's actually out just over 24 hours later. The PS Store has the game up for purchase at the previously confirmed price of £49.99/$49.99 right now.
The PS5 remaster hands the web-slinger a 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second, and then bundles in The City That Never Sleeps DLC trio on top. With Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on its way later this year, it's the perfect way to get yourself set up for the sequel, or revisit the story of Peter Parker and MJ in the world of Insomniac Games all over again on PS5. Then, if you need even more from the Spider-verse, a free comic book prequel is being released this weekend.
And just a reminder: PS4 owners can upgrade to the PS5 version for $10. However, this offer doesn't extend to those who have played the game via PS Plus. Will you finally play Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered now it's no longer attached to the Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales? Let us know in the comments below.
