Now that Disney and Marvel Studios are free to use characters like Daredevil and Punisher once more, the most effective plan for The Defenders going forward would be to continue two of the shows started by Netflix while creating two new spin-off series. Netflix's best series was arguably Daredevil which many fans would like to see continued following Matt Murdock's cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, something new needs to be done for heroes who had promise but had series that weren't as well received.
Now that the Defenders shows and Punisher have left Netflix, Marvel has quite a few characters at their disposal. They've already begun to use some of them such as Daredevil in No Way Home and Kingpin in Hawkeye. With these reintroductions, there have been calls for series such as Daredevil and Punisher to be continued with new seasons, rather than being rebooted. Thankfully, Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige has assured fans that Charlie Cox is the MCU's Daredevil (and his Spider-Man cameo certainly cemented that promise). As such, there seems to be hope that at least Daredevil's adventures will continue.

An effective plan to continue the Defenders saga wouldn't be to continue every show as it was. Instead, two new shows should be created as spin-offs, capitalizing on the most well-received aspects of the Marvel Netflix universe. Luke Cage and Iron Fist should be combined to create the spin-off series Heroes for Hire, inspired by their partnership in the comics.
