Sony recently announced that one of the suits from would be making its way to as a new skin. The addition of a skin based on another studio’s game is a bit of a surprise, but it is certainly a welcome one. This announcement isn’t just exciting for Spider-Man fans, but also for the future of cosmetics as a whole.
adding a skin from seems to open up a lot of possibilities for cosmetic options in the game. Not that Marvel Comics is in any way lacking in alternate looks for many different heroes, but knowing that can pull from other source material is an exciting revelation. Hopefully, this collaboration with Sony is just the beginning of what has in store.
The new skin for (revealed on X) is Spider-Man’s Advanced Suit 2.0. This is the default skin from and is an updated version of the Advanced Suit from Insomniac’s first game.
The suit is notable for its white spider symbol and white highlights, subtle changes to Spider-Man’s iconic look that nonetheless make this suit stand out. Warm reception to games made this suit something of an instant classic among Spider-Man fans, and so it’s great to know that Sony is open to letting other properties like use this look.

This isn’t the first time the Advanced Suit 2.0 has made its way into a property outside . The suit also showed up in. However, since that movie was also produced by Sony, it wasn’t as big of a surprise to see it there. Seeing the suit come to is more notable because NetEase isn’t owned by Sony, and the game is available on multiple platforms. Hopefully, more game studios will be willing to work with to make similar crossovers happen.
