Competitive play in is difficult, as climbing the ranks while solo queuing is tedious, slow-going, and sometimes blood-boiling. The vast majority of comments disagree with the original post that claims it is their fault for being stuck, as some believe that each match has players who just don't give it their best shot or are not as good as the other teammates. Others say it isn't about being «stuck» per se, but it is a slow and extremely monotonous climb to the higher ranks.
As someone who only plays ranked in with more hours in the game than I wish to admit, it truly does feel like a numbers game. There are games where you will do everything you can, play aggressively even as a support, and still end up with a loss. If you play tank, you are at the mercy of your healers to hold the line and create space. Without good heals to avoid death, you will not last long in a fight. This doesn't mean only depending on healers either, as players should play defensively and carefully regardless
