As someone who only plays ranked in with more hours in the game than I wish to admit, it truly does feel like a numbers game. There are games where you will do everything you can, play aggressively even as a support, and still end up with a loss. If you play tank, you are at the mercy of your healers to hold the line and create space. Without good heals to avoid death, you will not last long in a fight. This doesn't mean only depending on healers either, as players should play defensively and carefully regardless
