Marvel officially confirms that SHIELD had a presence during Avengers: Endgame's final battle. It has been more than three years since the Joe and Anthony Russo blockbuster wrapped up the Infinity Saga. Still, more information about it continues to come out despite the MCU now in the middle of Phase 4.
As beloved as Avengers: Endgame is, there are some lingering questions that it failed to address. For starters, specifics about Captain America remain largely unknown. Now that Sam Wilson has officially assumed that identity, it doesn't seem like it's something that Marvel Studios is planning on answering any time soon. Another mystery from Avengers: Endgame that has only really been prevalent in Phase 4 is that the public appears to know too many details about the last stand against Thanos despite the fight taking place privately in the Avengers' Upstate facility. This one, Marvel Studios is starting to tackle and the answer apparently has something to do with SHIELD.

On the heels of Ms. Marvel's AvengerCon, Marvel.com reveals that an unnamed SHIELD agent wrote a book about the whole ordeal as they have «a first-hand account of The Battle of Earth.» Their stories are chronicled in a new book «I Was There...» where they claim to have talked to Hawkeye and saw Tony Stark's snap.
