New screenshots were shared online today for Lost Skies, Bossa Games' open world co-op title launching on a yet-to-be-confirmed release date.
The new screenshots, which can be found below, provide a new look at the game's traversal and exploration mechanics while providing an update on how work has progressed. Inspired by Bossa Games' World Adrift, the game will incorporate many features from the older title while improving them at the same time. Additionally, players will be able to reach anything they see on the map solo or by cooperating with friends. The Island Creator tool will also allow players to build their own floating islands and upload them.
Being in development in collaboration with its community, a Lost Skies pre-alpha was introduced this week, giving playtesters a continuous tutorial experience and the chance to try out some of the game's core mechanics.“We’ve been gathering feedback from our community since we announced Lost Skies, and they have given us vital feedback on what works and doesn’t work, what is too easy or too difficult and many other gameplay elements,” said Luke Williams, Lead Designer of Lost Skies. “With our move into pre-alpha, we can bring in more playtesters, get more feedback and keep expanding and improving the game.” Playtesters are drawn from the Lost Skies Discord community, which can be joined by going here.
Lost Skies launches on a yet-to-be-confirmed date. The game will be published by Humble Games.
