Lord Godfrey's Old Spectacles Finally Discovered in Patch 10.2.5
More than 13 years after the launch of Cataclysm, Lord Godfrey's Old Spectacles have finally been found in patch 10.2.5! Added all the way back in 2010 with Cataclysm patch 4.0.1, the glasses were never made available to players and largely forgotten. Their appearance in the transmog collections tab in patch 10.0.5, further tantalized players with the unobtainable collectible.

Since the launch of patch 10.2.5, however, the anglers of Azeroth have discovered the item can be found by fishing the waters of Gilneas! Dredging up the glasses does not appear to require having completed the Reclamation of Gilneas questline, and the number of casts can vary, with reports ranging from dozens to hundreds of attempts, seemingly regardless of skill in either Classic or Dragonflight fishing.
