TreesPlease Games wrapped up 2024 on an epic note apparently. Longleaf Valley, their merge game, has accomplished its mission successfully. Over two million real-life trees have been planted by the players of the game.
If you play the game, planting trees in your virtual valley, know that your green thumbs have translated to actual forests sprouting up around the globe.
The tree-planting spree has doubled the count from last year (2023) because of all the players and the Eden Reforestation Project. Longleaf Valley’s downloads also doubled in 2024, according to TreesPlease Games.
By the way, TreesPlease Games is a studio founded with a solid aim. They make games that protect nature and fight climate change. Founded in 2019, Longleaf Valley is their first mobile game that totally aligns with their goals.
For all its efforts, Longleaf Valley won the Best Purpose-Driven Game at the Playing for the Planet Awards in November 2024. Meanwhile, TreesPlease Games is throwing a celebration to mark the tree-planting milestone.
TreesPlease Games has rolled out the Treellionaire Cup. To snag it, you need to climb up the leaderboard fast. Basically, you need to finish on the podium and snag bonus tree tokens. And just as 2025 kicks off, Longleaf Valley is launching a Veganuary campaign.
During January, you can collect adorable baby animal rewards and dive into in-game content inspired by the official Veganuary Cookbook. The campaign highlights the connection between animal agriculture and deforestation, gently nudging players toward trying out a more eco-friendly diet.
So, check out Longleaf Valley from the Google Play Store and enter the Treellionaire Cup championship! It’s a merge game where you merge items, collect animals and fight evil people who are out there to destroy natural resources.
