Though Helldivers 2 has been a hit, its launch has been anything but smooth. Various bugs, glitches, and server issues forced Arrowhead Games to temporarily cap the possible number of concurrent players.
One of the bugs causing an uproar is the disappearing Super Credits glitch. Super Credits are a form of in-game currency used to purchase useful items in the Superstore. You can acquire Super Credits by completing missions or by simply buying them using real-world cash.
Some players who have purchased Super Credits complained that their cash is disappearing. This significant glitch leaves players feeling like they wasted their money and got nothing in return. The problem affects players purchasing Super Credits on PSN and those who bought the Steeled Veteran Warbond with Super Credits.
Arrowhead previously commented on the glitch in the Helldivers Discord server, explaining that the Super Credits aren’t gone forever, they just aren’t displaying correctly on PC and PS5. The studio promised to work on the issue, and it seems the problem has been solved with the latest update.
Patch 1.000.13 fixes the glitch, which is a relief to all who spent money on the currency. It also contains a few other fixes and improvements while acknowledging that there are still problems that need to be solved.
The full patch notes are as follows:
Other issues are being worked on and ironically, Arrowhead warns that the patch could introduce new problems. The following issues are listed:
Arrowhead can’t rest on its laurels just yet, and it appears that there’s still a lot of work ahead for the Swedish studio. While the devs deal with the technical bugs, it’s still possible for players to hop in and squash Terminid bugs in an intergalactic war to bring about liberty and democracy.
