Latest Atomic Heart Trailer is All About the Combat

Since its debut back in 2017, Mundfish's upcoming first-person shooter RPG, Atomic Heart, has been in and out of spotlight as the developers try to get the game ready for launch. A new gameplay trailer has released giving fans a deeper look into the action packed combat that Atomic Heart will throw players into.

Atomic Heart takes place in an alternate version of the Soviet Union in 1955. Robotics and technology has advanced exponentially with this advancement serving as a boon as the Soviet Union managed to fight back and defeat Germany in World War 2. After the victory, Soviet labor was replaced with robots with further advancements managing to link said robots together into one hive mind that eventually turns against the creators. Players assume the role of a mentally unstable KGB agent tasked with discovering the cause of the rogue behavior with the newest trailer showcasing how intense Atomic Heart will be when players stand against the robotic foes.

Set to a catchy Soviet-themed tune, the trailer gives players an extended look at combat against the various robots and a look into various locales players will fight in. KGB agent P-3 will have access to a standard variety of weapons seen in a typical FPS, but he also has access to some unique weapons enhanced by robotic technology. P-3 will also be able to take advantage of unique abilities in a manner similar to Plasmids from BioShock as he can shoot out a stream of ice or use a form of telekinesis to lift groups of foes up in order to disorient them.

Halfway through the trailer, the catchy Soviet Union theme turns into an epic Doom-inspired sermon, composed by Mick Gordon himself, as the combat
