Konami has been making some big moves with its game development division, and its financials seem to be improving at a steady pace. The Japanese gaming giant has announced its financial result for FY 23-24, and the numbers are looking pretty good.
Konami recorded a total revenue of 360.3 billion Yen, with profits coming in at a whopping 59.2 billion Yen. The company recorded a total profit of 69.6% over previous year, and that rise is largely attributed to big digital entertainment projects including but not limited to Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 1 and eFootball 2024 among others.
In addition to this, there’s also Konami’s Yu Gi Oh! Master Duel series which has been growing strong for sometime now. Given the publisher’s current stance with upcoming release dates, it’s not surprising that it is predicting an even bigger revenue target of 380 billion Yen for the next financial year with upcoming releases like Metal Gear Solid 3: Delta Snake Eater and Silent Hill 2 remake.
