Kevin Smith begrudgingly admitted that he hasn't watched any of the wildly popular Netflix series, Stranger Things. Excitement is building for the upcoming Stranger Things season 4 with new trailers and theories about the Duffer Brothers' nostalgic fright-scape. The Duffer Brothers, have announced that the show series will conclude with season 5, hopefully bringing a satisfying ending to the internet's favorite RPG teammates.
Smith, who became a cinema darling after writing, directing and co-staring in 1994's Clerks, has since created his View Askewniverse with more movies like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Clerks II to expand on the stories and characters' Quick Stop saga. He now hosts the podcast Fatman Beyond with co-host Marc Bernardin where the two deep dive into their favorite fictional universes. Smith has also hinted that a Clerks III trailer will be arriving soon.

As reported by ComicBook, in a recent episode of Fatman Beyond, Bernardin and Smith arrived at the topic of Stranger Things. When asked what he thought of the series, Smith started to panic a little, explaining in his signature, expletive-filled way how embarrassed he was that he hadn't watched any of the show yet. Being known as a kind of elder voice when it comes to nostalgic cinema and cult followings, Smith knew much of his fandom would be surprised by his admission. Read his full quote below:
