Microsoft has revealed July’s 2023’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles.
On Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, subscribers will be able to claim Darkwood (normally $14.99 / £12.99) from July 1-31.
When the Past was Around (normally $8.49/ £7.09) will then be available as a free download from July 16 to August 15.
Darkwood is billed as “a challenging survival horror that does not rely on jump scares”. When the Past was Around “is an adventure point-and-click puzzle game about love, moving on, letting go, and the joy and pain of everything in between”.
June’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles include Adios (expires tomorrow) and The Vale: Shadow of the Crown (available until July 15).
Xbox Games with Gold stopped including Xbox 360 titles in October 2022.
“We have reached the limit of our ability to bring new games to the catalog from the past due to licensing and technical constraints,” Microsoft explained.
Microsoft is raising the price of Xbox Game Pass subscriptions in July, and the price of the Xbox Series X console in August.
The company recently confirmed the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass for console, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
