Jude Law is heading to Star Wars, as he's been cast as one of the leads of Jon Watts' new show titled Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The galaxy far, far away has taken a big turn in focus over the last few years, as Lucasfilm has shifted its attention to live-action TV shows instead of movies. The Mandalorian kicked off this movement in 2019 and became the first live-action Star Wars show in history. Its success led to multiple seasons being announced, as well as spinoffs in The Book of Boba Fett and Ahsoka. These are just a few of the many shows that Lucasfilm is working on.
One of the more recently confirmed Star Wars shows comes from Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts. The series had been rumored for a while, but Lucasfilm's Kathleen Kennedy revealed that he was working on it just before Star Wars Celebration 2022 began. Plot details were kept under wraps for the most part other than the revelation that it took place after George Lucas' original Star Wars trilogy.

As part of Star Wars Celebration 2022's opening panel, Lucasfilm revealed a major update for Watts' Star Wars show, beyond the confirmation of its title, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. It was confirmed at the panel that Jude Law has joined the cast as one of the adult leads. Although the series focuses on a group of younger children, Law is the only confirmed cast member and details about his character are unconfirmed. Law recently starred in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore and previously worked with Disney and Marvel Studios on Captain Marvel.
